Jaime (she/her) is a practicum student in Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia in 2022. Jaime has a background in research and facilitating mental health psychoeducational groups for individuals of various ages. She moved from Ontario to British Columbia in 2014 and recently moved to Kamloops in 2023. She is completing her counselling practicum at Living Bridges Therapy Collective!
Jaime provides a warm and safe environment where her clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. She is passionate about holding space for individuals to find their own paths to healing and growth and will approach each session with an open heart and a readiness to listen. She believes her clients are the experts on their own lives and is committed to providing a culture-sensitive space that celebrates the strength and resilience of each person she works with. Her commitment to fostering a compassionate and empathetic approach allows her to connect deeply with clients, creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect.
Jaime looks forward to continuing to learn and grow in this field with curiosity, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the counselling relationship and process. Her goal is to foster an eclectic trauma and grief-informed collaborative approach that best suits each client’s unique needs and values.
Jaime is outside, reading a book, talking with family, or playing a board game with her partner in her free time. She is grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside each of her clients as they navigate life’s challenges.
