Kamloops, BC — August 24, 2026 — Starting in the Fall of 2026, Living Bridges Therapy Collective is pleased to offer Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)—an internationally recognized, evidence-based program that equips individuals to respond to suicide risk with care, skill, and confidence.
Tara Caffelle and Robin Collins will complete their certifications in September 2026 to offer ASIST workshops to corporate organizations, teams, and community groups across the region.
Grounded in connection, compassion, and practical skill-building, ASIST is an intensive two-day training designed to support participants in recognizing invitations for help and responding in ways that increase safety and strengthen human connection. The workshop creates space for meaningful learning through guided practice, reflection, and collaboration.
“At Living Bridges, we believe that feeling seen, heard, and supported can be life-changing,” said Tara Caffelle, who heads Living Bridges’ critical response team. “Bringing ASIST into workplaces is one way we can help build cultures where people feel safer to reach out—and where others feel more prepared to respond.”
As conversations around workplace mental health continue to grow, organizations are recognizing the importance of equipping their teams with tangible, life-supporting skills. ASIST training offers a powerful opportunity to move beyond awareness into meaningful action.
Participants in ASIST training can expect:
- A respectful, inclusive learning environment grounded in psychological safety
- Hands-on skill development guided by certified facilitators
- Opportunities to build confidence in responding to suicide risk
- A strengthened sense of connection and responsibility within teams
Tara and Robin bring a depth of experience in counselling, relationship-centred care, and group facilitation. Their approach reflects Living Bridges’ commitment to creating spaces where learning feels human, supportive, and grounded in real-world application.
“Often people want to help, but don’t know how,” said Robin Collins. “ASIST offers a pathway to step toward someone with care, rather than hesitation or fear. That can make a meaningful difference.”
Living Bridges Therapy Collective is now booking ASIST workshops for organizations seeking to deepen their mental health supports and strengthen their team’s ability to respond to suicide risk.
If your organization is ready to foster a more connected, responsive, and psychologically safe workplace, we invite you to reach out to learn more or schedule a training.
