Tamara Lawrence

Pre-Licensed Professional/Practicum Student

Tamara is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling

Psychology at Yorkville University and is thrilled to be joining the Living Bridges Collective team as a counselling student.

Tamara is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences at their own pace. She brings warmth, empathy, and a strength-based lens to her work, drawing from her own diverse life experiences and a deep commitment to supporting others in their healing journeys.

Tamara’s approach to counselling is rooted in a trauma-informed and person-centered philosophy, and she is currently developing her skills in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. She is especially dedicated to meeting the needs of each individual with compassion and respect for their unique story. Tamara’s years of classroom teaching experience within diverse school settings have given her a deep understanding of the complex social, emotional, and developmental needs of children and youth. She is dedicated to helping young people feel seen, heard, and empowered, and brings the same commitment to her counselling practice.

When not engaged in clinical work or studies, Tamara enjoys spending time in nature, connecting with animals, and exploring creative outlets. She believes in the power of connection, listening and holding space for others, and is honoured to accompany clients on their path towards healing and self-discovery. Tamara is excited to be part of the integrative team at Living Bridges Collective.
