Rachel GerhardtBSc, BA, MHS, MACP

Clinical Counsellor and Associate

Rachel is a recent graduate from the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program and is happy to join the Living Bridges Therapy Collective as a Registered Certified Counsellor (RCC) after having been a member of the associate team during her practicum. Offering couples, family, and individual therapy, Rachel is focused on supporting anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, relationships with food, grief, and much more. She is certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol and currently taking extra training with the Gottman Institute in couples and family therapy.

Rachel’s foundation comes from a person-centered approach and trauma-informed lens where she advocates for a collaborative therapeutic relationship – recognizing that each person is the expert in their own experiences. Deeply empathetic and genuine in her interactions, Rachel seeks to empower individuals to see their resiliency and strengths, and to cultivate the skills and confidence to face their concerns.

Rachel grew up in a healthcare family in Manitoba, where there was always a focus on the importance of balancing and nourishing one’s physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health. Therefore, finding a balance between all the demands in life is something Rachel strives to prioritize. As the saying goes “You cannot pour from an empty cup.” She brings this balance into her counselling practice and in supporting others to set appropriate boundaries so they can live healthier happier lives.

If you find that you are wearing the weight of the world on your shoulders; strongly impacted by the words, stress, and actions of others; or wanting to set better boundaries around stress-inducing situations or relationships, Rachel would love to connect with you in a free 15-minute consultation.
