Sleepy Impacts

Mar 25, 2025 | Blog

Rachel Gerhardt is one of our counsellors and as her first (yes, she has two!) master’s degree focussed on impacts of sleep, she is here to share some insights over the next few weeks in honour of sleep. If you would like to speak with Rachel, please feel free to check out her bio and book a session with her.

Did you know that how well we sleep at night impacts our health? Not just our physical health, but our emotional health, mental health, ability to pay attention and make decisions, our metabolism (our weight), our appetite, our immune system, how we experience pain, and our stress levels? That’s a lot, right? How well we sleep actually impacts every piece of how we function in everyday life.

Did you know that sleep is so important that every year from March 9-15, the National Sleep Foundation takes this time to emphasize the important connection between our sleep, health, and well-being?

Over the course of the month, we will be posting information and some life hacks that can support us in having the best, most comfortable sleep! Stay tuned!

Signed Your Snooze-Fighter,
Rachel
